Heidi Klum praises ‘Runway’ winner Siriano

Heidi Klum has praised former Project Runway contestant Christian Siriano for having a “business mind” and always remembering to keep in touch.

The supermodel – who hosts and judges the Lifetime show – has revealed that season four winner Siriano never forgets to send her clothes and promote his work.

“It’s not due to me disliking some of the other designs, but I think he has the most business brain of them and he doesn’t forget to send things in order for you to wear them,” she explained.

Heidi Klum On The Paparazzi: “The Other Moms Always Give Me The Stink Eye”

From a Celebrity Baby Scoop Exclusive:

Do the paparazzi drive you nuts?
HK: “I wouldn’t say they drive me nuts all the time. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. It always depends on the day and where we are and what we’re doing. It definitely is a little bit not-so-convenient when you’re just doing normal things.

I understand the purpose of them when you go to an event and you’re on the red carpet. The press is there to document and show people what you’re doing. But I think that when you’re out with your family…. you’re at the park, and then you get all the stink eye from all the other moms! I just think ‘Really why is this happening? Why are all these people here and taking photos of our children which is really putting us in an inconvenience?!’

The other moms always give me the stink eye, and then I feel bad. So half of the time I will just leave and go somewhere else. You don’t feel too good about those moments when you get stink eye from all the other moms. And the thing is, we don’t understand half of the time what is so interesting about the same photos of us at the park. My children are just like other children too and they love going to the park.”

What do you tell your kids about the paparazzi?
HK: “It’s hard to explain! Thank goodness they haven’t asked that much about it yet. I haven’t been in the situation yet where I have to explain. They look and they see people taking photos, but they don’t really ask too much about it. They’re still little and I hopefully still have a little bit more time to figure out exactly how to explain to them.” Read the rest of this entry »

Heidi Klum’s My London

Model Heidi Klum lives it up at Nobu and the Soho Hotel and goes native in Brick Lane and Columbia Road…

Home is…
Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

Where do you stay in London?
I love London’s boutique hotels as they’re more homely and often in quaint areas. The Soho Hotel is really cool and discreet, plus it’s very central.

What was the last play you saw in London?
On An Average Day. My friend Kyle MacLachlan was in it, along with Woody Harrelson.

What advice would you give a tourist?
Get an Oyster card and don’t just stay in Central London. Head to Columbia Road Flower Market and Portobello Road on Saturdays.

Which shops do you rely on?
Selfridges, where I can get everything; Topshop at Oxford Circus for the latest trends; Cocomaya in Connaught Street for tea and chocolates; Dover Street Market for one-of-a-kind designs and vintage; and Harrods because it’s such a landmark.

What’s the best meal you’ve had in London?
At Aqua in Argyll Street. It’s two restaurants in one: Japanese and Spanish tapas and the food is excellent.

What’s your earliest London memory?
I stayed with a family for three weeks as an exchange student. That was the first time I had ever seen, or eaten, a pomegranate.

What are your guilty pleasures?
I love jewellery. I collect things from all over the world. Oh, and Nobu – I could eat there all the time.

What would you do as Mayor for the day?
Offer everyone free ice cream and a tour through the whole of Buckingham Palace.

What’s your life philosophy?
Having fun, being a good wife and raising children who will have a positive influence in the world.

What was the last album you downloaded?
My husband Seal’s new album. It’s called VI Commitment and it’s sexy, gentle, fun, dancey and soulful. I am his biggest fan. Read the rest of this entry »

Heidi Klum: ‘I love going naked… even in front of my parents’

After almost 20 years as a supermodel, being undressed clearly comes naturally to Heidi Klum.

In fact, in a wide-ranging new interview, the 36-year-old reveals she is so relaxed about nudity she happily goes naked in front of her parents.

Miss Klum, who models for US fashion and lingerie label Victoria’s Secret and is thought to be worth around £10million, says: ‘I think it’s because I grew up in a very easy-going family where my parents were always naked.‘My parents are still naked. I mean, it’s not like we’re hippies and we run around naked, but if they happened to be in their room changing or something or someone comes out of the shower, they’re not, like, “Oh my God. No. Close the door.”’

The German mother of four also tells Tatler magazine how she regularly renews her vows with her husband of six years, the British singer Seal.‘He’s very old-fashioned, my husband. He’s very proper,’ she says. ‘We loved our wedding so much that we decided to do it every year, so that’s what we do.’

And she believes being a mother has made her much less impulsive than in her younger days.

‘I still have the same values in life, but I’m definitely not as crazy any more,’ she adds.

The full interview is in Tatler, on sale Thursday.
