Home is…
Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
Where do you stay in London?
I love London’s boutique hotels as they’re more homely and often in quaint areas. The Soho Hotel is really cool and discreet, plus it’s very central.
What was the last play you saw in London?
On An Average Day. My friend Kyle MacLachlan was in it, along with Woody Harrelson.
What advice would you give a tourist?
Get an Oyster card and don’t just stay in Central London. Head to Columbia Road Flower Market and Portobello Road on Saturdays.
Which shops do you rely on?
Selfridges, where I can get everything; Topshop at Oxford Circus for the latest trends; Cocomaya in Connaught Street for tea and chocolates; Dover Street Market for one-of-a-kind designs and vintage; and Harrods because it’s such a landmark.
What’s the best meal you’ve had in London?
At Aqua in Argyll Street. It’s two restaurants in one: Japanese and Spanish tapas and the food is excellent.
What’s your earliest London memory?
I stayed with a family for three weeks as an exchange student. That was the first time I had ever seen, or eaten, a pomegranate.
What are your guilty pleasures?
I love jewellery. I collect things from all over the world. Oh, and Nobu – I could eat there all the time.
What would you do as Mayor for the day?
Offer everyone free ice cream and a tour through the whole of Buckingham Palace.
What’s your life philosophy?
Having fun, being a good wife and raising children who will have a positive influence in the world.
What was the last album you downloaded?
My husband Seal’s new album. It’s called VI Commitment and it’s sexy, gentle, fun, dancey and soulful. I am his biggest fan. Read the rest of this entry »
